Abstract Background The aim of this study was to assess nurses’ self-reported confidence in their professional skills before and after an extensive Emergency Department (ED) reform in Kanta-Häme Central Hospital. Methods Emergency nurses participated in transitional training commencing two years before the establishment of the new organization in 2007. This study was conducted using five focus groups with 24 public health nurses from regional child health clinics in order to explore health professionals' perceptions concerning physical activity. Participants were professionally experienced (mean 13.9 years), female (mean 46.2 years) nurses with some training in health-enhancing physical activity. Frame analysis of verbatim transcripts resulted in four frames: the environmental frame, the family frame, the natural frame and the wellbeing and health frame. OBIETTIVO: Descrivere la soddisfazione lavorativa (job satisfaction) ed esplorare le motivazioni della richiesta di turnover da parte degli infermieri clinici. METODO: Studio mixed-method condotto presso un’Azienda Ospedaliera di Roma Hub di II livello, su un campionamento di convenienza al personale infermieristico in servizio nelle seguenti tre aree cliniche: medica, chirurgica e d’urgenza/emergenza. RISULTATI: Il campione di 133 infermieri risulta avere una buona job satisfaction (60,9%). Il 21% si ritiene insoddisfatto e il 18% è incerto sul grado di soddisfazione.
